The DTECH LABS WHISPER™ Series is a product family of mobile Voice over IP (VoIP) network devices designed to extend analog voice, VoIP (SIP/H.323) and Secure Calling (STU/STE/SCIP) across IP-based networks (i.e., IP LAN, IP WAN, IP/ISDN, VSAT, BGAN) in a point-to-point, point-to-multipoint or multipoint-to-multipoint network configuration. The WHISPER 900 is ideal for larger or centralized deployments, supporting up to 4 T1/E1 (PRI) interfaces for either phone access (through a channel bank) or PBX/POTS network access. The WHISPER 400, supporting 4 analog FXS ports, is ideal for mobile deployment and is fully interoperable the WHISPER 900.

Powered by the award-winning Open Architecture VX software from Network Equipment Technologies (NET), the WHISPER simplifies the operation and reduces the setup time for enterprise-class secure mobile Voice and VoIP gateways, allowing teams to focus on their mission and not their technology resources.

SECURE CALLING SUPPORT: All WHISPER products support the direct attachment of STU, STE and SCIP (FNBDT) secure call devices (as well as standard analog phones, VoIP phones and FAX machines). The WHISPER's robust Secure Call Relay capability not only reduces the amount of bandwidth required to support a Secure Call (up to 5 per 64kbps of bandwidth), but also provides "call protection" in the event of a temporary network disruption or degradation in network quality - a WHISPER can maintain active status on a Secure Call while tolerating up to 10 seconds of network degredation or outage without dropping the call.

IP OVER EVERYTHING SUPPORT: Fully IP-standards compliant, WHISPER devices can be connected to any IP-based reachback network, including IP LAN, VSAT, BGAN or IP over ISDN (GAN).

VoIP OPTIMIZATION SUPPORT: All WHISPER Series products feature advanced VoIP optimization tools that not only reduce the amount of bandwidth required for voice and Secure Call devices, but also increase the number of simultaneous VoIP calls supported over most IP satellite connections.
